Scheck & Siress believes in improving and restoring patients’ mobility and helping them achieve their goals, and is committed to investing in the future of prosthetics and orthotics to develop improvements in clinical treatment paths and technology to provide enhanced services to those patients in need of prosthetic and orthotic care.
On April 6th, 2018, Scheck & Siress Prosthetics, Inc. announced its partnership with the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University to fund research in prosthetics and orthotics.
The research will be under the direction of Stefania Fatone, PhD, BPO(Hons), who oversees prosthetics and orthotics research at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC).
CPO/L, FAAOP, President and CEO Scheck & Siress, Michael Oros, had this to say about Scheck & Siress’ decision to provide financial resources for prosthetics and orthotics research:
“This gift represents both our support of the fine work lead by Dr. Fatone and her team at NUPOC and Scheck & Siress’ goal to help bring meaningful clinical research that improves the quality of patient care we deliver.”

Stefania Fatone, PhD, BPO(Hons), also shared her excitement and enthusiasm about Scheck & Siress’ continued support:
“I am delighted and grateful to receive ongoing support from Scheck & Siress for my prosthetic and orthotics research endeavors.
