Devin is an American Board Certified and Illinois Licensed Prosthetist and Orthotist since 2018 and has been involved with patient care at Scheck and Siress since 2015.
Devin completed his undergraduate studies in 2012 in a dual degree program, receiving both a B.A. in Chemistry from Butler University as well as a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Purdue University.
During his studies, Devin developed a fascination with biomechanics and the integration of technology into healthcare. After a brief experience working on material development for internal joint replacements, he decided to focus his career pursuits towards a more direct involvement in patient care. He was introduced to the field of orthotics and prosthetics and completed his Master’s degree from Northwestern University in 2015.
After graduation, he stayed in Chicago to complete his prosthetic and orthotic residencies with Scheck and Siress. Upon completion in 2017, he remained with the team and now practices as the primary orthotist at the UIC office.
During his residency, Devin gained invaluable prosthetic and orthotic experience providing patient care in numerous settings for a wide range of pathologies ranging from pediatric orthopedic anomalies to adult neuromuscular conditions. He currently attends pediatric and foot and ankle orthopedic clinics at UIC providing orthotic interventions. Devin has a strong interest in pathological gait and working with patients to improve mobility, especially focusing on utilizing the latest techniques and technologies to provide advanced solutions in patient care.
Outside of the office, Devin has a passion for fitness and spending time outdoors. He enjoys cycling, kayaking, hiking, camping, weightlifting and practicing yoga while also experiencing all that the great city of Chicago has to offer. He loves dining at new restaurants, catching live concerts, and enjoying beverages of all kinds–especially a great cup of coffee!
