CATHERINE POSPISIL, CO / LO
Certified Orthotist and Prosthetist
Catherine Pospisil (Kate) is a Board Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist at Scheck & Siress’ Oak Park location.
Kate received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in musculoskeletal biomechanics from the University of Iowa in 2010. In 2011 and 2012, she attended Northwestern University where she earned her Certificate in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
Kate was inspired to become a Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist by her desire to create useful devices and interact with others. She wanted to expand her education beyond her biomedical engineering degree. After she volunteered at a local Orthotics and Prosthetics clinic during college, she was certain that this is the field she wanted to put her heart and mind into. Kate’s job, which is a perfect combination of math, science, and medicine, gives her a sense of reward as she helps improve the quality of life of her patients.
Outside of the office, Kate enjoys watching sports (Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago White Sox, Arizona Wildcats), traveling, spending time with family, and being around animals. Her love for animals inspired her and a fellow colleague to successfully launch the Chicagoland Animal Orthotics and Prosthetics –– a patient-oriented facility dedicated to delivering the best possible outcomes for pets.
