Dan is an American Board Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist, an Illinois Licensed Prosthetist, Orthotist and Pedorthist with over 25 years of experience in the field.  In addition to his responsibilities as laboratory manager of Scheck & Siress’ Naperville office, he is Director of Orthotic Care on the Board of Directors.

Dan regularly attends the Marianjoy orthotic clinic and volunteers at the annual Marianjoy golf rehabilitation clinic given for patients who wear prostheses and orthoses. He frequently lectures to various groups, including: the Marianjoy, Loyola and Rush Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residents and the University of Illinois/Chicago Orthopedic residents.

Dan has extensive experience in lower extremity prosthetics and all types of Pediatric Orthotic and Prosthetic management. He is certified to fit the Otto Bock Genium knee, Ossur Power Knee, iWalk Bionic Foot, Otto Bock C-Leg, Harmony system, Ossur Rheo knee and Proprio Foot.  Dan is trained in FES for foot drop and has provided dozens of patients with the WalkAide and Bioness Systems.  He is trained in the GOSS approach to conservative Scoliosis treatment using computer aided design.

Dan was awarded the prestigious Thranhardt Award by the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association for one of his two published papers written in coordination with Dr. Noel Rao, Dr. Aruin, and Jason Weining, CPO/LPO.
