Kate Binder, CPO / LPO
American Board Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist
Kate graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering with a focus in biomechanics. Kate also worked in an O&P lab during her time in college as a fabrication technician. She then studied at Northwestern University and received a masters degree in orthotics and prosthetics. While completing her graduate studies, Kate was awarded the Tamarack Award for excellence in orthotics.
Kate joined Scheck & Siress in 2016 as a resident practitioner and now provides prosthetic and orthotic care at the Geneva office and surrounding hospitals for patients of all ages and conditions. She especially enjoys working with individuals with lower limb amputations and individuals with neurological conditions. Kate enjoys applying her background of art, science, and technical skills to help others reach their individual goals.
Outside of the office Kate enjoys exercising, being outdoors, cooking, spending time with her friends and family, and working on home projects with her husband James.
