Lakshmi Narayan is an American Board Certified and Illinois Licensed Prosthetist & Orthotist in Scheck & Siress’ University of Illinois Chicago office.
Practicing orthotics and prosthetics since 1994, Lakshmi Narayan was the former director of the Orthotic-Prosthetic Department (workshop) at Children Orthopaedic Hospital in Bombay, India.
Academic awards received by Mr. Shandilya include the 1998 Best Dissertation Award for promoting medical research by All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (under The Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Gov. of India) and Best Student Award (1998) for the best research paper presentation on advanced electronic mobility chair for physically handicap (S3) by Orthotics & Prosthetics Society of India. He has also presented various research papers on orthotics and prosthetics between 1998 & 1999.
Lakshmi Narayan received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics from Bombay University (All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) and completed the post-graduate program in orthotics at Northwestern University.
Lakshmi Narayan has also attended the International Society of Prosthetics & Orthotics short-term courses on management of polio and lower limb orthotics.
Mr. Shandilya specializes in fitting cranial molding helmets for the treatment of plagiocephaly and brachycephaly. |
