Walter Swartz has worked in the orthotic and prosthetic field since 1974. He is an American Board Certified and Illinois Licensed Orthotist and Prosthetist. Walter has had a wide variety of professional experiences, having worked at several orthotic and prosthetic laboratories early in his career, primarily on the east coast. For over 15 years, Walter has worked in the Scheck & Siress Schaumburg office, providing expertise in both disciplines. In addition to his office practice, Walter regularly attends a local orthotic and prosthetic clinic.
Walter began his career at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City where he was at the ground level during the development of the Lenox Hill Knee Brace (also known as the Joe Namath Brace).
Walter received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Marietta College in Ohio and received a postgraduate degree in orthotics and prosthetics from New York University. |
