Young Patient Hopes to Pay It Forward

We have been getting Gena's prostheses at Scheck and Siress since Gena was a toddler.  Over the years we have seen many practitioners and at a few locations but mostly John Angelico in the Oak Park office.  We wouldn't consider going anywhere else for Gena's prosthetic needs.  Gena is so comfortable there and we receive the best care. 
 
John has done a great job of making sure Gena has whatever she needs to be up and running (really) and able to do whatever she wants.  She is very active and likes sports, especially soccer and track!  It is so nice to know that her prosthesis will never be in the way of her doing what she wants to do. 
 
Someday Gena hopes to be a practitioner at Scheck and Siress or work at Shriners Hospital for Children so she can pay it forward and help others.  We are fortunate to be surrounded by such caring people.  As a mom, I know Gena is in the best of hands at Scheck and Siress.  We can't thank you enough!

Dear Scheck & Siress,

I would just like to say thank you for making my quality of life better. I love my new leg built by both Dan and Linda from the Naperville, IL office. Linda began work on the leg and picked a marvelous foot for me, very dynamic and the best I have ever had in my 20+ years of being an amputee. This foot is perfect for the type of work I do and allows me the ability to walk long distances. This foot practically walks itself and often I want to take off running!!! Linda was very patient with me as we had some difficulty with my work and flexibility work wise. Dan took over so I could come in during pm hours. Dan was fantastic and had the leg ready to go in just a few visits. I always love the care and quality of the people at S&S. Thank you all for a wonderful experience and an outstanding leg!!!

I would like to thank your office and Lyle Rosen. Lyle did everything in his power to make sure that I was happy with my new shoe insert. He made me feel very comfortable in the office and did not let me leave the office until I was 100% sure that everything was okay. He also made sure that I came back for a follow up to make sure everything was okay and done correctly. Thanks for all your help. See you in a couple of months for a follow up.

Dear Mr. Kaiser,

Some years ago I met you in the Oakbrook Terrace office right after my first appointment with Robin Spencer. I have asked her who I could tell about how much I appreciated the way she worked with me – not ON me – to adjust my orthotics.

As I’ve gone from one sport and injury to the next that required new orthotics, refurbishing, or other adjustments, I’ve found Robin indispensable to my ability to walk pain free. Unlike other orthotists I’ve dealt with, Robin listens to my problems, explains to me what she is doing, and helps me to be pain free. This is patient-centered care at the most effective level. It’s what healthcare needs to be.

Dear Scheck & Siress,

My daughter has AIS and has been a patient of Bill Gallagher's at your Schaumburg facility for about six months now. I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for Bill being-you could say, part of the Scheck & Siress family, and the reason why we won't go anywhere else. His warmth, great sense of humor and sincerity about his work really shows. Bill means a great deal to our family and one word from Bill goes a long way with my daughter. At one point, my daughter was not wearing her brace as she should and I went into a bit of a panic. So I contacted Bill, even if he said he was not available, Bill took the time to return my calls no matter where he was in order to answer any and all of my questions and concerns about my daughter's situation. He has even called my daughter at home to see how she is doing (per my request) with the brace and to keep tabs on her situation. This means so very much to me and she does listen to what Bill has to say. Without Bill in my daughter's corner and a definite support anchor for me, she would not be at the point she is now. Bill has always come through for my family and I appreciate everything he has done for us.

You could say Mr. Gallagher is one of our most favorite people and I wanted you to know how special of a person he is and so very dedicated from his heart. In my eyes, that makes a huge difference in a patient's recovery/progress.

As for your staff at this location, everyone has always been very helpful and cheery.
