Clinic Manager

Kate Pospisil is an ABC-certified prosthetist/orthotist for Hanger Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.

She developed an interest in orthotics and prosthetics while studying biomedical engineering at the University of Iowa. The field allows her to combine her skillsets from a STEM educational background with her enthusiasm for interacting with and caring for others.

Kate has a special interest in lower limb prosthetics, pediatrics, and face masks. She has the pleasure of attending a monthly clinic at Misericordia Home. She enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with all members of a patient’s care team and problem solve with her coworkers. She volunteers as an ABC CPM examiner and has served as a mentor thru the NUPOC student mentor program. Her love for animals inspired her to launch Chicagoland Animal Orthotics and Prosthetics, a practice that creates orthotic and prosthetics devices for pets with mobility issues.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys watching sports (Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago White Sox, and Arizona Wildcats), traveling, exploring the outdoors, reading, and spending time with family.
