Used to stabilize the spine after surgery or for healing of fractured vertebrae.

Provides less coverage than a molded TLSO, above, and might also be used after a spinal injury.

Shorter than a TLSO and starts below your ribs. Used after lower-back surgery or injury, it allows more flexibility.

Many types of TLSOs are used to treat scoliosis. They are all custom-molded with padding to help prevent the scoliosis curve from getting worse over time.

May be custom molded or custom fit to support weakened or damaged areas of the spine and to stabilize unwanted curves.

Restricts movement and reduces stress on the spine, offering semi-rigid support. These braces are custom fit to each patient by shaping plastic panels held in place by fabric straps.

Offers support and restriction to your normal movements if you have suffered a neck injury. Some collars also cover your chest and upper back for more stability.

Offers the highest level of stabilization for the upper spine. Cranial pins attach a ring or “halo” to your head and metal supports connect that section to a molded brace on the upper back and chest.
